Ivonto's Payment Methods

Ivonto supports both automatic and manual payment methods, providing flexibility and convenience for both merchants and customers. Understanding the different payment options available can help you choose the best method for your business needs.

Automatic Payment Methods (Payment Gateways)

Online payment gateways are essential services that enable businesses and individuals to accept payments online securely and efficiently. These gateways act as intermediaries between the buyer and the seller, ensuring that transactions are processed safely and that funds are transferred from the customer’s account to the seller’s bank account.

To manage your payment gateways, navigate to: Settings → Payments

Manual Payment Methods

Manual payments are those that are processed outside your online store’s automated systems. These methods provide an alternative for customers who prefer not to use credit cards or online payment providers.

To manage your manual payment methods, navigate to: Settings → Payments

Cash on Delivery (COD)

Ivonto supports the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method, which allows customers to pay for their orders at the time of delivery. This is a popular option in regions where online payment adoption is low or where customers prefer to pay in cash. The instructions for the COD method should be defined by sellers.

Troubleshooting Payment Gateway Issues

Payment gateway isn't available in your store

If you encounter the message "isn't available in your store" when attempting to add a payment gateway, it may be due to a currency incompatibility issue. This error typically indicates that the currency set for your store is not supported by the payment gateway you are trying to add.

Resolving Currency Incompatibility

To resolve this issue, you will need to change your store currency to one that is compatible with the desired payment gateway. Here’s how you can change your store’s currency:

  1. Go to Settings → General in your Ivonto admin panel.

  2. Click on Standards and formats settings.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select the currency you want to set for your store.

Important Note: If you have already received an order, you cannot change the store currency. It's crucial to set the correct currency from the start to avoid any disruptions in payment processing.


By understanding and utilizing these payment methods, you can offer your customers a range of secure and convenient payment options, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process.
