A detailed guide to integrating and managing Mollie payments in your Ivonto store.

Mollie Overview

Mollie is a leading European payment provider specializing in processing online payments for merchants such as webshop owners. Mollie supports payments in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It offers a variety of payment methods including Credit Card, PayPal, iDeal, Bancontact, Sofort, SEPA Bank Transfer, and GiroPay. Note that not all payment methods are available in all supported countries. Transaction fees vary based on the location and the payment method offered by Mollie.

How to Set Up Mollie Payment Gateway

Before enabling Mollie for your Ivonto store, ensure you have fully set up your account and selected your preferred payment methods (Credit Card, PayPal, iDeal, Bancontact, etc.) in the Mollie dashboard.

  1. Log in to Your Ivonto Admin Panel: Navigate to Settings → Payments in your admin panel.

  2. Add Payment Method: Click on the "Add payment method" link.

  3. Select Mollie: If available with your store currency, select "Mollie" as your payment provider. If not, follow the steps below to change your store currency.

  4. Enable Payment Method: In the "Enable payment method" section, toggle the switch to enable Mollie.

  5. Enter Credentials: Enter the "Public Key" and "Secret Key" from your Mollie account, then click on the Submit button.

Enable Sandbox Mode

You can also enable the Sandbox mode to test the keys. For this:

  • Click on the More options on the same page, and toggle to enable the Sandbox mode.

  • Enter the same keys in the "Test Secret key" and "Test Public key" input boxes to test the Mollie payment method at checkout.

Mollie Isn't Available with Your Store Currency

If Mollie isn't available due to your store currency, you need to change your store's currency.

How to Change Your Store's Currency

  1. Navigate to General Settings: Go to Settings → General in your Ivonto admin panel.

  2. Access Standards and Formats: Click on the "Standards and formats" settings.

  3. Select Supported Currency: From the Currency dropdown menu, select a currency that Mollie supports.
