Vipps Overview
Vipps is a popular mobile payment application in Norway, allowing users to send and receive money, make online payments, and pay for goods and services at participating merchants. It is specifically tailored to the Norwegian market and is widely used for payments within Norway.
How to Set Up Vipps Payment Gateway
Log in to Your Ivonto Admin Panel: Navigate to Settings → Payments in your admin panel.
Add Payment Method: Click on the "Add payment method" link.
Select Vipps: If available with your store currency, select "Vipps" as your payment provider. If not, follow the steps below to change your store currency.
Enable Payment Method: In the "Enable payment method" section, toggle the switch to enable Vipps.
Enter Credentials: Enter the "Secret Key" from your Vipps account, then click on the Submit button.
Enable Sandbox Mode
You can also enable the Sandbox mode to test the keys. For this:
Click on the More options on the same page, and toggle to enable the Sandbox mode.
Enter the same keys in the "test Secret key" input box to test the Vipps payment method at checkout.
Vipps Supported Currencies
Vipps is primarily designed for users in Norway and supports only Norwegian Krone (NOK) as the currency for transactions. Users typically need a Norwegian social security number, a Norwegian bank account, and a Norwegian mobile phone number to use Vipps.

Vipps Isn't Available with Your Store Currency
If Vipps isn't available due to your store currency, you need to change your store's currency.
How to Change Your Store's Currency
Navigate to General Settings: Go to Settings → General in your Ivonto admin panel.
Access Standards and Formats: Click on the "Timezone, currency, units of measurement" settings.
Select Supported Currency: From the Currency dropdown menu, select a currency that Vipps supports.
