What is Local Pickup?

Local pickup, also known as self-pickup, is a convenient shipping option that allows buyers to collect their online orders at a specified location, typically a physical store. This option can be offered free of charge or at a cost determined by the seller. When enabled, the local pickup option will be available to customers during the checkout process.

Managing Local Pickup Orders

Once you receive an order and confirm the product's availability, you can mark it as "ready for pickup" to notify the customer. After the customer retrieves their order, update the order status to "Picked Up" to complete the process. This can be managed through the Orders section in your Ivonto admin panel.

Setting Up Local Pickup

To enable the local pickup option for your Ivonto store, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Ivonto admin panel.

  2. Navigate to Settings β†’ Shipping.

  3. Under the Local Pickup section, click on the location where you want to enable this option.

  4. Turn on the toggle to enable local pickup for the selected location.

At this stage, you can also add any specific instructions related to the pickup process, ensuring a smooth experience for your customers.
