Understanding Inventory Management
Inventory refers to the stock levels of products available for sale in your Ivonto eCommerce store. Proper inventory management ensures that you can track product quantities, prevent overselling, and fulfill customer orders efficiently. Ivonto's inventory management feature is located in the admin panel under the Products section, where you can set up your products and adjust stock levels as needed.
Admin Panel Navigation:
Go to Catalog → Products → Inventory.
Key Components of the Inventory Section
Your inventory page displays several key components, including:
Items: The products listed in your store.
SKU: The stock-keeping unit identifier for each product.
Available: The current stock level of each product.
Edit Quantity: A feature allowing you to adjust the stock levels for each product variation.
Managing Product Inventory
To set or change the stock quantity of a product, follow these steps:
Navigate to Inventory: Go to the "Products" under the Catalog section in your admin panel and select "Inventory."
Identify the Product: Locate the product for which you want to manage the inventory.
Adjust Stock Levels:
To add to the available quantity, click the "Add" button.
To set a new quantity, click the "Set" button.
Enter the Quantity: Type the desired number in the designated field.
Save Changes: Click the "Save" button to update the inventory quantity.
By following these steps, you can easily manage your product inventory. Keeping your inventory up-to-date is crucial to avoid overstocking or running out of stock, both of which could negatively impact your sales and customer satisfaction.
