Introduction to Shipping
Shipping involves the process of transporting goods or products from one location to another. Defining a clear shipping procedure is crucial for businesses to manage logistics and ensure smooth delivery. Sellers on Ivonto can set up shipping rules that include shipping zones and rates, specifying which countries they will ship to and at what cost.
To access the Shipping settings in your Ivonto store, navigate to the Settings section and select the Shipping icon. This will open the Shipping section, where you can configure various shipping-related settings for your store.
Shipping Setup
By default, sellers on Ivonto have a predefined shipping setup, which includes the following:
Shipping From: This is the store's location, as provided during the signup process. Sellers can change this location by navigating to Settings → Locations or Settings → Shipping → Shipping From.
Shipping To: Sellers are given two default "Shipping to" rules:
Home Country: Shipping to the country where the store's location is based, with predefined free shipping.
Worldwide: Shipping to all countries with a predefined rate of $5.
If sellers need to modify the addresses or shipping destinations, they can easily do so under Settings → Shipping → Shipping To.
Important Notes:
Currently, only one "Shipping From" setup is available. Sellers must adjust their warehouse location if it differs from the default.
Sellers should customize the predefined shipping rules and rates to meet their specific business needs.
Understanding Shipping Rules
Shipping rules define the zones and rates for shipping, determining where products can be shipped and the costs involved.
Shipping Zones: Geographical regions where sellers offer shipping services.
Shipping Rates: Delivery options and associated costs for each shipping zone. Sellers can offer free, standard, or premium shipping and can set rates based on item weight or price.
